Very Special News

I just got some great news today, I found out I'm going to be a grandmother, for the first time. :) When I got the phone call today, I was speechless, I had to try really REALLY hard not to cry (in joy), I'm not like the actresses you see in the movies who can carry on a conversation while bawling, I can't talk a lick, so I controlled it and let it sink in.

My son just graduated from Army boot camp and he is training to be a combat engineer, something to do with explosives, his wife lives with my dad (their grandfather) while he is away. He should be back in plenty of time for the baby. My son wants to have a girl, my DIL wants to have a boy, I think it's going to be a girl, don't know why, I just do.

I'll post updates as I get them. Does that mean I'm officially old??? (grin) Or does that distinction go to my Dad? This will be his 5th GREAT grandchild! He could live to see great-great grandchildren, he has great grandchildren old enough to procreate, and he is in good enough health to be here for them.
