A quickie update, I received my package from UPS a day late, the road issue apparently prevented Bobby from delivering out here, oh well, it happens. Here is what I have been taking, first thing in the morning, I take 2-350 mg DMAE tablets, on an empty stomach. After I eat my first meal of the day, I take 1-500 mg turmeric tablet, 1-60 mg ginkgo bilboa tablet, and 1-250 mg citicoline tablet. If I eat something that contains a lot of sugar, I will also take 1-1000 mg cinnamon tablet. Since I've only done this for a few days, I can't say that is has performed miracles, but I do feel good about it and it may be helping a little, though it's hard to tell if it's just the placebo affect, I'll continue taking these supplements and write more about it after I've been on them for a while.
The other thing I am using is called coconut oil, it's supposed to have all sorts of health benefits, I have been cooking with it, and I have re-started a regimen called oil pulling. Chances are you, my wonderful readers, have never heard of oil pulling, or perhaps you have and I'm just making assumptions because I had never heard of it before I started doing it before, and I consider myself pretty up on these sorts of things.
So, what is oil pulling? You basically put a spoonful of oil in your mouth then pull and push the oil through your teeth, you do this for at least 15 minutes, 30 minutes is better, but most have to work their way up to that. When I did this a few years ago, before moving off grid, I used sunflower oil, now I am doing it with the coconut oil, it's supposed to work even better. Oil pulling is supposed to clean your teeth, clean your mouth, whiten your teeth, detoxify your body and a whole host of other claims. I don't know how much of these things it does, it is a very old process, it's been around for a loooooong time. When I did it before, one thing I did notice was apparently I had some infection in my gums and it drew out the infection/pus, yeah, I know, that sounds gross, but I'd much rather have the infection coming out than staying inside my mouth.
I don't know why I stopped, other than the fact that I had to keep the oil in the fridge, the oil was cold, and oily, I didn't like how it tasted or felt. I do feel like it was working for me, but I lost interest and stopped. This time, using the coconut oil is not as bad as using the other oil, it has no flavor on its own, and it's not unpleasant to do. I have done it 3 times now, over 4 days and I can feel something going on in my mouth, something good.Do your own research and decide for yourself if this is something that would be good for you.

Good for you, Wretha! I have been oil-pulling (with coconut oil) for about four years now.
ReplyDeleteI love Curezone! Educate before you medicate! I used to moderate there ... may even still have my moderating privileges, but I rarely check in on a regular basis anymore. But Mama Crow's voice can definitely be found in the archives.
If you ever run into Trapper or Tony Isaacs (aka Don Quixote) or Luella May ... they are friends of mine :)
Thanks ~MC~, I used to be more of a regular on CureZone as well, haven't been there much since moving from the city. I remember seeing Trapper, the other 2, sorry don't remember them. I was most interested in cancer cures, bloodroot and black salve, bowel cleansing (P&B-though I prefer using ground flax instead of psyllium), oil pulling, zappers, and a few other things... one thing that fascinates and scares me at the same time, morgellons, I first heard about it on Coast to Coast am years ago, at the time the powers that be in the medical fields denied that it was a real disease/disorder, even going so far as to claim that the people who were suffering from it had psychological issues, now they are admitting that there is something to it, don't get me started on the crap the FDA and the medical PTB pull, I could go on about this all night.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would listen, and understand, if you were to go on about all that all night :)
ReplyDeleteHere is Tony's forum on Curezone ... I am a huge personal advocate of Oleander for cancer cure and prevention. I've even made the oleander soup! Check into it if you haven't already.

(hope that link works)
I love the newest look you've done around here on your blog ... I commented a few days ago saying it was looking good, but it has changed again since then and looks even better :)
Thanks, the link worked, I hadn't heard about oleander as a cancer preventative/cure. I have researched many other natural cancer preventatives/cures, I have come to the conclusion that most anything that disrupts the PH of the cancer (or potential cancer cells) will kill it and/or keep it from growing, that goes for a lot of other diseases/disorders.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to let my better half do all this research! I just take whatever she tells me to take like a dutiful husband no questions asked!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and I know she will find it so also.
