I voted early and I was number 360 yesterday. My friend was number 359. It felt good to vote, though honestly with Texas being a red state, my national vote only went toward statistics. The local votes were interesting, there was only one place where I had a choice between Rep and Dem and I chose the Dem, only because the current person in office (being a Rep) was not doing his job and we were losing funding because of it. I don't always vote straight party, I look at the individual and decide which would be best for us.
I voted early because I'll be driving a friend to a neighboring town for a dr appt on voting day and I didn't want to take the chance of missing the vote.
Did you vote already? If not, are you going to? It's true what they say, you can't complain if you don't get out and vote.

Wretha,
Thanks for visiting!
We voted yesterday. :) It was my son's first time. I was pretty excited about that!
ReplyDeleteWe always vote early. Mostly it's because my husband is a truck driver, so we vote when we can while he's in town. I think when he is no longer a truck driver we will still vote early, because it's so much less hassle. It was busier than I expected, but still, nothing like election day. I MUCH prefer going early.
Woohoo for your son's first time! That is exciting. I would actually prefer voting on voting day only because it's held out here at one of our churches, it's such a small, tiny community that everyone knows everyone and I would have enjoyed going down and chatting with my friends before and after voting. If I have the chance, I may go visit anyhow... that is if I get home early enough from the dr trip.
